Traffic data

We measure, record and monitor transportation data for all modes of transport relevant to the Transport Strategy as set out in the Local Transport Plan. This includes:

  • automatic traffic counts
  • manual surveys of vehicles and people
  • speed surveys
  • surveys of travel behaviour through questionnaires

We also gather information for the design of highway schemes, assessing new developments and maintaining the conurbation wide computer traffic model.

This information is available on a survey site basis. Quotations for new surveys will be provided on request by contacting us on 01202 262005.

There are separate charges for use of the traffic model and these are available on request.

For further information on volumetric and speed reports and mode of travel data, please call us on 01202 262000 or email transportation@poole.gov.uk.
