Poole Day Centre room hire

Poole Day Centre provides services to older people between the hours of 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours we are able to offer the Centre for hire to other groups.

Evening and weekend rooms available for hire

Room A

This room has dining tables and chairs available to seat up to 70 people.

The room is available to hire on the following days and times:

  • Monday: 5pm onwards
  • Tuesday: 5pm onwards*
  • Wednesday: 5pm onwards
  • Thursday: 5pm onwards*
  • Friday: 5pm onwards*
  • Saturday: 4.30pm onwards
  • Sunday: 4.30pm onwards

Room B

This room has soft chairs and coffee tables and can seat up to 70 people.

The room is available to hire on the following days and times:

  • Monday: 5pm onwards
  • Tuesday: 5pm onwards*
  • Wednesday: 5pm onwards
  • Thursday: 5pm onwards*
  • Friday: 5pm onwards*
  • Saturday: 4.30pm onwards
  • Sunday: 4.30pm onwards

*Limited availability: indicates that this room is not available every week due to block bookings. One off bookings can be made subject to availability.

Facilities available

  • kitchen: tea and coffee facilities are available
  • toilets: male and female toilets are available including a disabled toilet
  • telephone: there is a phone available for emergency calls

Cost

The cost for:

  • Borough of Poole groups and community support groups: free
  • registered charities: £3 per hour (economy rate)
  • all other groups: £10.75 per hour (commercial rate)

There is always a choice of hot meals and salads and all are offered at a subsidised rate: main meal £2.64, sweet £0.65, tea £0.45 and coffee £0.45.

How to book

The person hiring the facilities must let the centre know what the room(s) will be used for and agree to the conditions and guidelines for use of premises.

To book, complete the hire of day centre premises application form and post it to Poole Day Centre, 12A Commercial Road, Poole, BH14 0JW.

Please ensure you have read the supporting conditions and guidelines for use of premises before completing and returning the application form.

Subject to acceptance of your application, you will then receive confirmation of your booking and an invitation to visit the premises to view the facilities, at which time arrangements can be made for collection and return of keys. At this stage you will need to provide sight of your Public Liability Insurance and to sign the hire agreement.

An invoice will be sent to you with full details of how to pay online, by post or in person.
