Hamworthy Park paddling pool set to go ahead

Borough of Poole is pleased to announce that work to build a new paddling pool for Hamworthy Park will start in early February.

The Council has committed a total of £350k to fund this popular and much loved attraction and has increased the budget following a recent tender process to ensure that we deliver a long term and high quality facility that is enjoyed for many years to come.  An additional £31k has also been provided by the Friends of Hamworthy Park.

Cllr John Rampton, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for the Environment, Borough of Poole, said:

“This is fantastic news for Hamworthy and all those who enjoy visiting the paddling pool. We have consistently said that we are fully committed to rebuilding the pool and with external grant funding not being forthcoming, we have worked hard to finance its successful delivery. I am delighted that today we are able to confirm it will go ahead.”

Works to rebuild the paddling pool will start in February and be completed before the coming summer.
