Volunteering opportunities for young people

If you would like to get involved in volunteering but are struggling to find a volunteering placement, or do not know where to start then we can help.

Volunteering with children and young people training course

If you are interested in volunteering in a youth project, thinking about a career in youth work, working with children and young people or are already volunteering at a youth club or project, then this 4 week course is for you.

It will include:

  • what youth work involves
  • communication skills
  • coping with challenging situations
  • risk assessment and health and safety
  • safeguarding
  • planning and delivering activities

Courses are free to those volunteering or interested in becoming a volunteer within Poole and are based at:

Broadstone Youth Centre
Moor Road
Broadstone
BH18 8AZ

Volunteering with children and young people

There are a number of opportunities for adults to volunteer and share their skills with young people. 

Opportunities to volunteer are available at:
