Living Well Ageing Well in Poole

We work through a range of services and partnerships, such as Bournemouth and Poole’s Health and Wellbeing strategy and the Better Together programme, to improve services, choice, and be more responsive to older people’s needs.

Poole's Living Well, Ageing Well plan aims to build on and compliment these areas of work, and to recognise the positive contribution older people make to our town.

Through its partnership of voluntary and public sector organisations, Poole Older People’s Steering Group aims to improve the quality of life of local older people.

The partnerships key priorities are focused on promoting healthy and active lifestyles and supporting Poole’s older people in:

  • having a home that suits their needs
  • getting out and about
  • being active and independent in later life

This document outlines the key actions and projects planned until 2020 in order to achieve these priorities.
