Poole Enterprise Library

Poole Enterprise Library is located in Poole Central Library. It includes a public meeting and information area within the main library and a seminar room off the main library, equipped with an interactive projector.

The meeting and information area offers:

  • Access to business books, magazines and periodicals

  • Space for you to work and/or hold meetings

  • Free access to Wi-Fi and public computers for library members

The seminar room is available for use by entrepreneurs, small businesses and business support groups. If you would like to find out more about these facilities please contact Nell O'Hora at n.ohora@poole.gov.uk

Online Resources

Poole Enterprise Library also offers access to FREE online resources to support businesses. COBRA can be accessed from home or from the work place with your library card and MintUK is available through public computers in any Poole Library.

COBRA - Complete Online Business Reference Adviser

COBRA is an online business information resource that contains over a thousand small business factsheets, guides and sector-specific reports. 

MintUK (only accessible in a Poole Library)

MintUK is a comprehensive database of company information in the UK and is a valuable business intelligence tool for sales and marketing. We have a one concurrent user licence, so please log out as soon as you have finished. To find out how MintUK can help you watch this short video

Getting Your Message Across 

Monday 12 June - 10am to 11.30am

Join Diane Hinds, from The Entertainment Bureau, for this interactive presentation and learn how to promote your business to media by devising a targeted campaign with comprehensive information regarding research, defining your audience, creating your key message, as well as writing a press release and learning about its distribution.

Google Digital Garage Workshop

Monday 12 June - 1pm to 2.30pm

Boost your digital knowledge to grow your business, your market or your career. Come along to a free workshop session based on materials created by Google on everything from making the most of your website to online marketing and beyond. Choose the topics you want to learn, or complete the whole online course for a certification from Google and IAB Europe. (Please bring earbuds or headphones to the workshop with you if you have them).

Monthly Jelly 

Every 2nd Monday of the month - 12pm to 4pm

A ‘Jelly’ is an informal co-working event where freelancers, home workers and small/micro business owners bring their laptop or other work and work, chat and collaborate with other small business owners. Get together, share knowledge and experience with local small business owners over a cup of tea or coffee at our monthly Jelly. Sessions are supported by The Samee Project and will also feature a speaker each month.

This is a drop-in session so no need to book!

Every 2nd Monday of the month - 12pm to 2pm

Every second Monday of the month Iain Murray from True Potential will be at our Monthly Jelly to answer your money related questions.

Self-Employment Qualifications - Information Day

Tuesday 13 June - 12pm to 2.30pm

The Samee Project are offering you the opportunity to a gain a 'Passport to Self-Employment'. This FREE qualification is accredited through the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs and SFEDI. Come along to one of our information days and learn more about the topics covered and how Samee can help you gain a qualification.

Outset StartUp Information Session
