Poole Enterprise Library

Poole Enterprise Library is located in Poole Central Library. It includes a public meeting and information area within the main library and a seminar room off the main library, equipped with an interactive projector.

The meeting and information area offers:

  • Access to business books, magazines and periodicals

  • Space for you to work and/or hold meetings

  • Free access to Wi-Fi and public computers for library members

The seminar room is available for use by entrepreneurs, small businesses and business support groups. If you would like to find out more about these facilities please contact Nell O'Hora at n.ohora@poole.gov.uk


Online Resources

Poole Enterprise Library also offers access to FREE online resources to support businesses. COBRA can be accessed from home or from the work place with your library card and MintUK is available through public computers in any Poole Library.

COBRA - Complete Online Business Reference Adviser

COBRA is an online business information resource that contains over a thousand small business factsheets, guides and sector-specific reports. 

MintUK (only accessible in a Poole Library)

MintUK is a comprehensive database of company information in the UK and is a valuable business intelligence tool for sales and marketing. We have a one concurrent user licence, so please log out as soon as you have finished. To find out how MintUK can help you watch this short video


Upcoming Events in the Enterprise Library 

Monthly Jelly 

Monday 10 July - 12pm to 4pm

A ‘Jelly’ is an informal co-working event where freelancers, home workers and small/micro business owners bring their laptop or other work and work, chat and collaborate with other small business owners. Get together, share knowledge and experience with local small business owners over a cup of tea or coffee at our monthly Jelly. Sessions are supported by The Samee Project and will also feature a speaker each month. .

This is a drop-in session so no need to book!

Monthly Money Clinics

Every 2nd Monday of the month - 12pm to 2pm

Every second Monday of the month Iain Murray from True Potential will be at our Monthly Jelly to answer your money related questions.

Advertising on a Shoestring

Monday 14 August - 10am to 12pm

We all know how important it is to raise the profile of our business, but we don't always have the budget for the big glossy adverts that we would like. In this workshop Sam Everard from the Samee Project will talk you through some proven ideas on how to market and advertise your business for minimum cost using tools you already have.
