Poole Enterprise Library is located in Poole Central Library. It includes a public meeting and information area within the main library, an IT suite with 10 laptops and a seminar room off the main library, equipped with an interactive projector.

The meeting and information area offers:

  • Access to business books, magazines and periodicals

  • Space for you to work and/or hold meetings

  • Free access to Wi-Fi and public computers for library members

The IT suite and seminar room are available for use by entrepreneurs, small businesses and business support groups. If you would like to find out more about these facilities please contact Nell O'Hora at n.ohora@poole.gov.uk


Online Resources

We subscribe to two major business resources, Marketline Advantage and MintUK, so that our library users can benefit from access.

Marketline Advantage helps build a thorough understanding of markets through interactive market and business reports as well as other information.

You can access this excellent resource from home, using your library card, and in all our libraries via the public PCs.

MintUK is a comprehensive database of company information in the UK and is a valuable business intelligence tool for sales and marketing.

Digital Marketing for SMEs

Saturday 11 February - 10am to 12pm

This introductory session will cover all major aspects of digital marketing including your individual strategy and story, your technical knowledge, where to find information and how to transform your digital investments into returns. Learn how to grow your presence online, how to maintain a brand identity and gain the basic digital marketing know-how required for success. Horizon 2020 - Funding for Innovative Businesses

Monday 13 February - 10am to 12pm

Until we have left the European Union, UK companies are still able to apply for grant funding for innovation projects from the European Commission and the UK Treasury has guaranteed to underwrite UK participation in these projects post-Brexit. During this free workshop Louise Mothersole from Horizon 2020 UK will explain how to access this funding and what other support for UK companies is available.

Monthly Jelly 

Every 2nd Monday of the month - 12pm to 4pm

A ‘Jelly’ is an informal co-working event where freelancers, home workers and small/micro business owners bring their laptop or other work and work, chat and collaborate with other small business owners. Get together, share knowledge and experience with local small business owners over a cup of tea or coffee at our monthly Jelly. Sessions are supported by The Samee Project and will also feature a speaker each month.

This is a drop-in session so no need to book!


Monthly Money Clinics

Every 2nd Monday of the month - 12pm to 2pm

Are pensions a complete mystery? 
Do you know the difference between a fixed, discount or tracker mortgage? 
Have you got questions about the different types of insurance out there? 
Do the recent tax changes create more questions than answers?

Every second Monday of the month Iain Murray from True Potential will be running a monthly Money Clinic to answers your money related questions.
